13 Days Mount Kenya Samburu Nakuru, Drive from Nairobi to Nanyuki at the inclines of Mount Kenya showing up on schedule for lunch. From here is a short drive, crossing the equator in transit, to the Sirimon Park Gate. Then, at that point, journey up through wonderful montane woodlands, bamboo and goliath heather zones prior to arriving at the high elevation moorland and the to our first camp-Old Moses Campsite.

Day 1: Drive from Nairobi to Nanyuki at the slopes of Mount Kenya arriving in time for lunch. From here is a short drive, crossing the equator en-route, to the Sirimon Park Gate. Then trek up through magnificent montane forests, bamboo and giant heather zones before reaching the high altitude moorland and the to our first camp- Old Moses Campsite.

Day 2: Old Moses to Shipton’s Camp
After an early breakfast trek to Shipton’s camp (4200m). The hike is awesome but a good test on individual endurance on the mountain. The rigorous but exciting trek up takes you across hills and valleys through the entire stretch of the sprawling moorlands where you see several unique and interesting plants and animals including the Giant groundsels and lobelias and the mountain rock hyrax. Lunch is served on the way. Arrival time is early evening.

Day 3: Point Lenana then Mackinder’s Camp
Leave at 3am up a steep stony quarry that cuts through a cliff clearing visible part towards lower Hall Tarns arriving point Lenana at 6:00am, taking about 3hrs. After the sunrise, some celebrations and photos descend down, you descend slowly down to Mackinders Camp for breakfast. Then have the rest of the day relaxing in the camp.

Day 4: Met Station Camp
After a late breakfast, leave the camp heading down to Met staion camp site. The trek is leisuly as you enjoy the triumphant feeling of conquering the summit point.

The Naromoru route is usually the shortest but most steepy route to climb Mt. Kenya. Lunch is served in transit and arrival time in the camp early evening. The weather here is a bit warmer and gives life an array of wildlife that visit the camp, occasionally. Buffaloes and colobus monkeys can be sited from the camp. Dinner and overnight here

Day 5: Met Station to Samburu game reserve,
Have early breakfast before your descend to Naromoru park gate in 2hours, from where you connect the vehicle for transfer to Samburu game reserve.

Day 6. Full day at Samburu Game Reserve.

 

Day 7. Morning Game drive en route to Nakuru.

 

Day 8. Morning Game drive at Lake Nakuru, to Masai Mara.

 

Day 9 A full day spent game viewing a cross (from 0800–1830hrs)the rich, tree studded grassland and rolling hills the famous mara is renowned for it’s great herds of plains game, back manned lion, leopard and cheetah. It also has numerous elephants and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in  Kenya  all meals and overnight at the camp or lodge.

Day 10. Head to Amboseli National park on the foot of Kilimanjaro.

 

Day 11. Full Day at Amboseli.

 

Day 13. Early morning game drive, return to lodge/camp for breakfast. Depart for Nairobi after lunch arriving in Nairobi by 6:00pm.
