12-Days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli, Tsavo West and Tsavo East Budget Safari

 

Day 1: Nairobi- Masai mara National reserve

You shall be picked from the airport or your Nairobi Hotel in the morning at, before proceeding with the safari. Start the journey to the south of Kenya along the Nairobi -Narok highway. Enjoy the ride to Narok town, the main stop over for the tourists and hub for beautiful curio shops where you shall take lunch then continue for Masai mara arriving in the afternoon. Go for the evening game drive at the vast savanna grassland .Be keen to spot the herds of wildebeest, the zebras, lion, Rothschild giraffes, gazelles, buffalos and others as they graze amongst the grass till twilight. Diner and rest will be at the Camp/Lodge.

Day 2: Masai Mara Full day.

Spend the day exploring the park from east to west, north to south in search for the animals as they graze while the predators hunt. You will have a chance to spot the lions, dik-diks, gazelles, Rothschild giraffe, wildebeest, zebras, buffalos, jackals, the stripped hyenas, elephants, and hippos. Take picnic lunch as you watch the natural beauty of the land.

At the end of the day, return to the Camp/Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai mara –Lake Nakuru

Take an early breakfast in the morning before heading out to the wild for the morning drive. Explore the mara triangle as you spot the wild. Ride to the mara river where you may witness the migration of the wildebeest and the zebras across river mara from Serengeti in the Tanzania. You may be lucky to witness the tassel of the animals as they try to survive the hungry awaiting hippos and crocodiles in the river. After the game drive, take lunch and depart for Lake Nakuru national park. At Lake Nakuru, explore the bird watching destination where the large numbers of flamingos make the shore breathtaking and other many types of birds like the pelican birds. You will be able to spot the wild animals in the park zebras, lions, giraffes, cheetahs, rhinos and others. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge

Day 4: Lake Nakuru Full day.

Spend the whole day with the morning and the evening game drive breaking for lunch. The park will give u an opportunity to discover its natural potential .The lake hosts millions of greater and lesser flamingos, pelicans and other bird species. You will encounter with the Rothschild Giraffes, White Rhinos, African Buffalos, Impalas, Zebras, Olive Baboons, Waterbucks and Velvet Monkeys. Commonly spotted in the park are Hyenas, Jackals, Lesser Flamingos, Hippopotamus and Pythons Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge

Day 5: Lake Nakuru –Lake Naivasha.

Take an early breakfast at the camp, check out and depart for Lake Naivasha .Arrive at the lake Naivasha national park in time for lunch. Take lunch at the Lake Naivasha Hotel. You will have optional activities.

You may, take a boat ride to the Crescent Island where you can see the animals on foot. You will see the zebras, waterbucks, Rothschild giraffe and others.

Also, you may choose to go for Nature walk in the park as you explore the lands of the wild as you spot the animals and enjoy the cool breeze of the lake.

Another option may be to go swimming and relaxing by the pool as you enjoy the view of the animals on the other side of the fence.

Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha full day

Naivasha is one of the fresh water lakes in Kenya popularly known as a bird’s paradise with over 400 bird species among them the flamingos. Other animals at the park are buffalo, antelope, giraffe, warthog and monkey, and you will almost certainly catch sight of hippos from the cooling water. You will have this day for the optional activities, take time to rest before you continue with the safari. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge

Day 7: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park

Depart from Lake Naivasha early in the morning after taking breakfast for Amboseli taking lunch enroute. It will take you about 8 hours to arrive at the Amboseli arriving in late afternoon. Proceed with the evening safari. Discover the land of scenic beauty best known for its huge herds of elephants. The savanna woodland environment and its wetlands provide home f Elephant, Cheetah, Wild dogs, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion, Hyrax ,Crocodile, Mongoose, Leopard, Dik- dik, and Nocturnal Porcupine and the Lesser Kuduor .Drive through the park as you search for the animals you see the sunset. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.

Day 8: Amboseli Full Day

After an early morning breakfast, leave your camp with packed lunch and depart for the morning and evening game drive .During the morning game drive, you are likely to see a clear view of the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. You will have a chance to spot the big five and other plains game like wildebeest’s giraffe and the antelopes search also for hippos mostly alongside the semi-permanent lakes and swamps like Longinya. The landscape is mostly dominated by open plains extensive stands of yellow bucked acacia woodland lava strewn thorny bush country and deep valley mountains like Namanga, Lameboti and Elemborashe. Birdlife at the park are the Masai ostrich, the aquatic little grapes, long tailed cormorants, African data pelicans, goliath purple heroin among others. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge

Day 9: Amboseli -Tsavo west

Early in the morning depart from Amboseli for Tsavo National park .You will arrive in time for lunch. Take lunch at the camp and rest for some time before proceeding with the game drive. For this day discover the parks natural area of flat, dry plains, with thorny bushes and swampy marshland near the river. You shall have the chance to spot the large families of giraffes, gazelles, hartebeests and zebras, buffalo, African elephants, lions, rhinos and leopards. Dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 10: Tsavo west Full day

After early breakfast, head out of the camp for the full day of exploration as you discover the beautiful landscape and game drives. You will visit the Mzima Springs -a series of natural springs and pools, famous for its hippo and crocodile populations. Also be keen to spot the animals like the red –skinned elephants, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild dogs, Buffalo, Rhino, Lesser Kudu, Nocturnal ,Porcupine Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion, Mongoose, Hyrax, Dik- dik and Prolific birdlife features 600 species. Dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 11: Tsavo East full day

Spend the day discovering the land of wonders with thousands of animal life and beautiful plant life On a luck day you will spot the ,African dormouse dik-dik, African hunting dog, , blue duiker, bush duiker, Coke’s hartebeest, small-spotted genet, gerenuk, giraffe, red duiker, eland, African bush elephant, bat-eared fox, greater galago, gazelle, large-spotted genet, African hare, springhare among many others. The park has a river Galana, lugard falls and the Yatta plateau which makes the park a unique attraction. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 12: Tsavo East – Nairobi

You shall have a great morning having the final exploring game drive at the park. After the game drive return to the cam for full breakfast then depart for Nairobi taking lunch enroute. You shall be dropped off at your hotel, airport to mark the end of the safari.
