Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
0830hrs: Your exciting journey begins as you depart from Nairobi, heading south along the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley. As you travel, the landscape unfolds into breathtaking vistas, with the rolling hills and the valley’s sheer cliffs providing a dramatic backdrop.
Lunch at Narok: After a few hours on the road, enjoy a hearty lunch in Narok, a bustling town that serves as the gateway to the Maasai Mara. This stop allows you to stretch your legs, interact with locals, and experience a taste of Kenyan hospitality.
Entering Hemingway Country: Continue your ascent up the western wall of the Rift Valley, entering what is famously known as Hemingway country—the Serengeti Plains. Arriving at the Masai Mara Game Reserve, where you’ll check in at your chosen lodge or camp for lunch .
Evening Game Drive: As the day winds down, embark on your first game drive in the Maasai Mara. The early evening light provides an ideal setting for spotting wildlife as you explore the vast savannahs. Keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos—as they begin their nightly routines. Day 2: Full Day Game Drives in Maasai Mara
Morning Game Drive: Rise early for a full day of adventure in the Maasai Mara. The day begins with a morning game drive, where the crisp morning air and soft light make for perfect wildlife viewing and photography. The Maasai Mara National Reserve is renowned as Africa’s greatest wildlife sanctuary, and this is your chance to explore its 200 square miles of open plains, woodlands, and riverine forests.

The Great Migration: If you’re visiting between July and October, you’ll witness the awe-inspiring Great Wildebeest Migration, one of the world’s most spectacular natural events. Over 1.3 million wildebeest, accompanied by hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, migrate from the Serengeti into the Maasai Mara in search of fresh grazing. Watch as these massive herds navigate the Mara and Talek Rivers, teeming with crocodiles and hippos, in their perilous journey.
Afternoon Game Drive: After a leisurely lunch and some relaxation at your camp, head out for another game drive in the afternoon. Day 3: Masai Mara – Nairobi

Return to Nairobi: After your cultural experience, bid farewell to the Maasai Mara as you begin your journey back to Nairobi. Enjoy lunch en route in Narok and reminisce about the amazing wildlife encounters and unforgettable moments from your safari.
Arrival in Nairobi: You will arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport for your onward journey. As you depart, take with you the wonderful memories of the Masai Mara and the vibrant wildlife you encountered.
