5-days mount Kenya Climbing  Naromoru route is journey offers great freedoms for acclimatization preceding rising to the highest point. Mount Kenya Hiking Expeditions

Day 1: Nairobi – Nanyuki – Old Moses Camp

Drive to Mt Kenya Sirimon Park gate (2600m). After consummation of park section conventions, you start a 3-4 hour climb through montane woodland with bamboo, rosewood and heather zones to Old Moses camp (3300m). The woodland and bamboo are home to many wild oxen, elephants, bushbucks and a plenty of bird animal types. Supper and overnight at Old Moses Camp (3300m).

Day 2: Shiptons Camp

After an early breakfast at 0700hrs, begin a 6-7 hour journey across the rambling moorlands up to the Shipton’s hovel (4200m). The climb gives freedoms to entrancing perspectives on extraordinary moorland plants and view but at the same time is a test on your individual perseverance. You acquire great acclimatization as you cover a height scope of 900m. Lunch stop is at a vantage point on the Mackinder valley. Supper and overnight at Shipton’s Camp (4200m)

Day 3: Mackinders Camp

Leaving at 0800hrs, climb the Hausberg col (4700m) at that point slide steeply to Hausberg valley and Oblong pools prior to making a further steep rising, crossing colossal rocks through Two Tarn while in transit to Mackinder’s camp (4,300m) which is situated along the Naromoru course inside the Teleki Valley. Day 4: Met Station

Reminder at 0230hrs. Start the culmination move at 0300hrs, first climbing on frozen scree then across the Lewis ice sheet for 3-4 hours. We plan to arrive at Point Lenana , the explorers culmination, on schedule to watch the dawn. From the highest point, dive tenderly for two hours back to Mackinders Camp for breakfast. At that point, delicate 4 hour plunge to Met Station (3,049m) for overnight.

Day 5: Nairobi

Leave after breakfast for a delicate two hour climb down a wide back road prompting the Naromoru Park door (2600m) where you meet our vehicle. Move back to Nairobi.
